Chronicle

Last week of the Chapter. After the morning prayer and the always rich breakfast, we meet on time at 9.00 am. As moderator in charge, Sr. M. Laura Grigis begins telling us that today the countdown starts: - 1 ... as we approach the final phase of the Chapter!
What will be the work today? Continue the approval of some general outlines, postponed last night to get a better formulation, more understandable to those who have not participated in the Chapter. Then in plenary we continue the discernment for the full approval.
After having given a short rest to the translators we continue voting until the completion of all, with the great satisfaction of all the sisters.
At 11.30 a.m. Sr. M. Laura presents the second part of work of the morning: we have to take into consideration the recommendations of the general Chapter 2009 and the Petitions. Each group will work on some of them: each petition must be read and discussed, then the group will consider whether it is useful to accept it or not presenting the reasons that support the acceptance or not. No time to ramble on these issues: we focus on the essential so we can finish before lunch. After lunch we share the watermelons coming from the community of Montemario and the Punch Coco, a coconut liqueur, from Guadeloupe!
In the afternoon at 3.30 p.m.: report by the various groups in plenary.
5.20 p.m.: after the break, we start the meeting again. The discussion takes a long time. We debate on some of the points that give rise to misinterpretation. It is given a time of personal prayer with the appointment in room at 7.00 p.m..

Sister Ana Maria takes the leadership of the assembly as facilitator. She asks us to express our feelings.
The invitation is to come out of ourselves to go where the Lord wants and calls us in this time ...
After dinner, the Sisters of the Council of Presidency and some groups of sisters are at work to reformulate the assigned points.
