At the end of the 3rd General Chapter we, the Capitulars, we’d like sharing something
about our experience of these days:
we think necessary to underline the importance of having had pre-Chapter meetings during which each one of us felt and welcomed the needs and appeals of every entity of the Family. Thanks to them, we could develop lines of action spread not from theories, but rooted in the reality of our own Congregation and mission. This work was possible thanks to the attentive listening of the shouts and the challenges of our world, you reported.
We lived the debates in freedom and truth with the desire to continue a journey of greater self-giving and commitment.
The intercultural sharing and the dialogues fed our fraternity. We experienced also the value and the richness of our differences. The presence of lay associated helped us to strengthen our desire to become more "sons and daughters of Mother Gérine", respecting our diversity.
Together, them and us, we prayed the Holy Spirit for six months, and during this Chapter we felt to be supported also by their prayers. We thank them very much for their staying with us.
At the beginning of this new step with the new General Council, we like to make an appeal to the responsibility of every sister, of every community and of every lay associated because the lines of action are accepted and experienced according to what we are and what we want to be. We'll build the future only if we entrust our life to the Gospel given to our hands for the life of the world.
Born of the Spirit, let us walk in the breath of the Spirit.
