Reality of today's world: the clamor and urgencies

"Reality of today's world: the clamor and urgencies", this is the topic of the day, so in the morning prayer, animated by the sisters of Latin-America, we saw a nice power-point with images highlighting the industrious hands of women of all continents. In them we have seen our daily life made of simple things, but sometimes necessary, and join them with the same determination and courage.

At 9.00 a.m., the usual time, we are in assembly to receive indications of the day's work. The invitation of Sr. M. Juana, the moderator, is to observe and contemplate this world where we are and where we are sent.

Sr. Ana Maria Donato, presenting the track for the work on a text by Prof. Romeo Ciminello content on Basic Text of the Chapter, suggests not to stop only on that article but also to rely on our own experience. Then follows a time for personal reading and personal reflection and, after a short break, the meeting in groups to share what needs the Congregation should pay attention to, which is responding to such new needs we cannot fail to listen to and why. The agreement of the group must be at least on 3 needs.

In the afternoon, at 3.30 p.m. in plenary session, each group brings some requirements of today's world we cannot fail to listen to and to which we are already responding, and some need that we do not give attention to and to which we should give answers.

Many agreements join the five working groups in listening to the reality of this world we live in, this means that we have refined the hearing to listen to the screams that come from it. Not just words but the desire to live them with passion and compassion. We have identified the major problems of the world and one could be frightened but we must not solve them alone, we can join with organizations who already have started ... so the road is already open.

The meeting ends and each of us brings a great hope in her heart.

After the break until the dinner we are experiencing a time of personal prayer and thanksgiving guided by the synthesis of the group work of the previous two days because these texts enter in us, pass through and penetrate us until the end. The underlying question is: What part of responsibility have I as a Congregation? Which way do I go?

At 8.45 p.m. 15 minutes of dancing-game so that the body can release some energy after we spent many hours sitted.
