11TH JULY

Chronicle

A beautiful day greets us on waking and start praying Lauds on the feast of St. Benedict, patron of Europe and father of the monasticism of the West continent. Mass with Lauds inserted, is animated by the Delegation of Nigeria with the sisters of Uganda. The Gospel invites us to stay in the Lord because He remains in us and we can ask for and get what we ask in His Love.
At 9:00 we are present in the room where the four lay members are asked to read the result of their work of the previous day: progress and resistance in the way they live as lay associated. it follows an exchange to clarify some points.
Soon after, the secretaries of the two mini-plenary explains the critical points of the life of the Congregation emerged yesterday afternoon. After carefully listening to the various points, the sisters underline the convergence and show how to unify the similar content in a single text. The discussion takes time and at the end relies on groups of two sisters the reformulation of critical points according to the given topic.
Meanwhile, it's time for lunch and the afternoon  the program is as follow: meeting in the Chapter room to read the minutes from 5.00 to 6.00 p.m.  and later listen to the reformulation of the critical points to approve them. At the beginning of the afternoon session Sr. M. Laura Grigis is the moderator in charge.
We arrive at dinner with a critical point still pending: it will be discussed the next morning.
After dinner, free evening except for the sisters of the Presidential Council that must come together to program the following day.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who are accompanying us with their prayers and sent us messages of support for the Chapter works.
